Anxiety

THIS IS WHAT JESUS ACTUALLY SAID ABOUT ANXIETY

People say anxiety is solved with control.

They say you need better plans, more security, or total certainty about the future.

They say worry is just part of modern life.

Common claims.

But Jesus gave a completely different answer.

Here are the verses that change everything:

1️⃣ “Do not be anxious about your life.”

→ Matthew 6:25

Jesus begins by confronting the root. Anxiety grows when life becomes the thing we are trying to control.

2️⃣ “Look at the birds of the air.”

→ Matthew 6:26

They don’t store, plan, or build security systems, yet God feeds them. Your value to God is greater than theirs.

3️⃣ “Which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his life?”

→ Matthew 6:27

Worry feels productive, but Jesus says it accomplishes absolutely nothing.

4️⃣ “Consider the lilies of the field.”

→ Matthew 6:28–29

Creation itself is clothed in beauty without striving. God provides before anxiety even begins.

5️⃣ “Your heavenly Father knows that you need them.”

→ Matthew 6:32

God is not unaware of your needs. Anxiety assumes God forgot something.

6️⃣ “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.”

→ Matthew 6:33

Jesus gives the real solution. Focus on God’s kingdom, not your fear.

7️⃣ “All these things will be added to you.”

→ Matthew 6:33

Provision follows obedience. When the kingdom is first, everything else falls into place.

Anxiety tells you everything depends on you.

Jesus says everything depends on God.

The world says secure your life first.

Jesus says seek the kingdom first.

If your focus is the future, anxiety grows.

If your focus is the kingdom, God provides.
