He is with you in the Storms

When storms come into our lives, our first instinct is almost the same - we feel alone. The wind rises, the waves build, our control disappears, and we begin to search for something stable to hold onto.

Scripture never promises that life will be calm or predictable. Instead, again and again, it repeats a different promise: “Fear not, for I am with you.”

This is what makes the Christian understanding of courage unique. It isn’t rooted in self-confidence or inner strength. It's rooted in presence. When Jesus walked across the water toward the disciples in the middle of the storm, it was a declaration that God is sovereign over the chaos in your life.

The question for the believer is now no longer, “How big are the waves?” It's: “Who’s in the storm with you?”
