Peace

We think peace comes when the puzzle pieces finally fit, but Scripture tells us it comes when our confidence shifts from our ability to figure life out to God’s ability to hold all things together.

What unsettles us doesn’t unsettle Him.

What feels completely unmanageable in our hands is already perfectly ordered in His.

Peace isn’t found in solving the unknowns or coming up with perfect solutions. It is in trusting the One who governs what we cannot see while working all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

This is the peace that truly surpasses all understanding.

•Philippians 4:4-7// Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

•Romans 8:27-28// And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

•Isaiah 26:3- You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

•John 16:33- I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.

•2Corinthians 12:9- But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

•Jeremiah 32:17- Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.
