Lord, hear my cry
Lord, hear my cry, the desperate plea rising from my heart when words fail and all I have left is this raw need for You to listen and respond.
I'm crying out to You because I don't know where else to turn, because I've reached the end of myself, because I need You to hear me and help me.
My cry comes from a place of pain, fear, confusion, or desperation, and I'm bringing it all to You, trusting that You hear every prayer that rises from a breaking heart.
Help me believe that my cry reaches Your ears, that You're not distant or indifferent but attentive, listening, moved by the cries of Your children.
Remind me that throughout scripture You heard the cries of Your people, that crying out to You is what people of faith have always done in their darkest moments.
Give me confidence that You hear my cry, that it matters to You, that You will respond in Your way and Your timing, that crying out to You is never in vain.
Let me trust today that Lord, You hear my cry, and that hearing me, You will act on my behalf according to Your perfect will and unfailing love.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
